Is m3u support being worked on?

I am wondering if m3u is being worked on, or on the roadmap at all. I use a program called ChannelsDVR which allows you to use your cable login for TVE channels. You can export those channels and the guide via m3u playlist and XML.

It would be great if plex supported this as switching between YouTube TV and plex kinda defeats the purpose of an “all-in-one” media sever.

Not sure but at one point they were looking into it.
