Plex has not been able to find my DVR. It has worked well for some time and just recently there is no TV Guide and when I try to find the DVR in settings it cant find it. I manually put the DVR address in and it said there were 48 channels. I continued and it then wanted to know my location even though my local stations were apparently there. I downloaded the homerun duo software and was asked to pay a subscription. I thought I already had a subscription with Plex. Any advice?
Not sure what country you are in but they removed the free supply of episode guide data for some places in July, see this link. Here in Australia it is no longer but fortunately this XMLTV file can be generated with some fiddling, depending on your fiddling prowess or maybe someone has done it already on the forum. Search for your country and EPG to find out. For us here in Australia yes the same thing happened so you pretty much have to delete your DVR out of Plex, find an EPG source that you can update daily or weekly into your computer and all may be ok. Check this Plex Aus EPG for some tips.
Thanks for the response. I am in Australia. I had a look and it is well above my capabilities. I will probably weaken and by an EPG service. Any suggestions?
Put this url into Plex when for the xmltv location:
