DVR occasionally missing audio stream

In the last two weeks I’ve seen a couple shows not have any audio channels. Last night was on channel 26.1. A while ago was 7.5. I thought maybe it was something wrong with the 7.5 broadcast, but since it’s happened again I’m asking for help.

Is this a tuner problem either with the hardware or driver? Or is the Plex Transcoder process somehow at fault? I can’t readily tell from looking at the logs.

There was/is an issue with the new ATSC 3.0 channels (using Silcon Dust HD Homerun). The box was picking up the new signal and trying to send it to Plex which can’t handle it yet. The fix was to find out where they moved the “old” channels and rescan and select those for recording. That restored the audio in my case.

Not sure if it applies in your case but thought I would share my experience.

I only have ATSC 1.0 stations and tuner. It’s not systemic, so I’m not sure how to even diagnosis when it’s happening.
