I am running Plex on a QNAP TVS-1282T3 with a HD Homerun turner as a DVR. It has been working great for almost a year both on this QNAP and a previous Synology box.
Last week it stopped recording new shows. The shows appear to record and they indicate they are 100% recorded, however there is no file in the associated directory. Also the recording timer appears to never turn off. If you look at an individual show, the show has the recording red button still showing even though the details say 100% recorded. Also it looks like multiple recording streams remain open (I saw up to 18). They remain open for days.
Here is what I tried:
- Updating the firmware on the HD Homerun. Shut it down.
- Updated to the most current Plex server for QNAP. Shut the service down.
- Deleted all of the recording timers.
- Deleted any shows that appeared to be hung.
- Brought everything back up.
- Verified that live TV is working via Plex. It is.
- Problem was exactly the same.
I am current on all versions of software (Plex, HD Homerun firmware, QNAP, client playback devices (Apple TV, iOS devices)
