DVR - Watch From Start - Why doesn't it work on Android TV clients?

Anybody notice this? Has anyone tested to confirm?

FIXES:

• Player: ensure ‘Watch From Start’ behaves correctly when playing pre-captured Live TV.

None of my Shields have gotten this update yet. I’d download it manually but not really sure which version to use.

@adutchman “watch from start” appears to be working appropriate for me. I have version 8.30.1.31022. I received the update yesterday

edit: I just check it again with version 8.31.0 and it works for me.

It’s been working on my Shield for the last two updates. The current version is 8.30.1.31022 but it also worked for me on the version before that. Not sure why you’re not getting the updates. I did not manually load them and I’m not on the beta channel. Just updated normally through the Play Store.

Just noticed this doesn’t work again?

I thought it did a few weeks back with an older version?

This appears to be working now for me. I didn’t test the beta, so it seems like the fix has been released to prod. I just wish there was a proper way for me to report the over DVR problems I’m facing! But at least we can no watch from the start while it’s still recording.

Finally got version 8.30.1.31022 and it worked for me too!

Now my shields have updated to version 8.30.2.31202. I will test again tonight.
