EAC3 5.1 direct playing but plays stereo audio

As the title says. I can’t get 5.1 from eac3 content on my soundbar + rear speakers, it plays stereo only (i assume. The dolby logo doesn’t show up on the TV and the rear speakers don’t play). The stream info shows direct play on both Video and Audio. DTS 5.1 content plays just fine.
If i play the same EAC3 file through Upnp it plays without issues in the native player on my TV.

My setup is: TCL Android TV > Samsung q70r Soundbar.
In plex player: Passthrough on

There’s a second issue i’ve got a few weeks ago. Many sort options in the android TV and android smartphone players are missing. (By year for example, which was the one i used the most). The iOS app shows all the sort options on my ipad.
