I don’t know why but my Movie library has now become a Video library, with all the issues involved, cut playbills, non-functioning agents, etc. …

I have no desire to recreate the library with over 2200 titles, with custom collections, posters and metadata.

Since I cannot edit the category, it is implied that I cannot have edited it the first time either (and I would love to see how to do such editing by mistake).

So, since the problem is with the platform, I would appreciate a painless solution. I certainly don’t pay a subscription to have disruptions like this.

Hopefully some Plex technician will find me the solution.

Lastly, why doesn’t Plex integrate a backup (cloud?) of settings?

Because you have changed the library’s agent to “Personal Video”. Look at the tab named “Avanzate” in your screen shot.

I tried changing to the Advanced tab; it won’t allow me to edit with error “Your changes cannot be saved.”
