I’m new to Plex and not extremely tech savvy. For some reason I keep getting the error message “There was an error editing this item” every time I try to edit the information for one of my movies. I’ve been able to do it before, but for the last 2 days I keep getting this message. I’m sure it’s something I’m doing but not sure what. Any suggestions? Thank you.
What are you trying to edit, what field?
Can you edit other fields?
Can you edit any other movie?
When I’m in my movie library and click on the little pencil on the bottom left side of the movie thumbnail I get a pop up screen. In this screen I used to be able to change the name of the movie, date, poster, background poster, etc. Now when I click on that pencil in the bottom left of the movie thumbnail I get the pop up screen but it is blank with just the little circle thing turning in the middle, then after a minute or so the error message pops up.
Not at all what I expected. Sound like Plex is having an issue retrieving the metadata.
Do you have any new web browser extensions? Or have you updated one lately?
