I’ve been using Plex for a couple of years without any major troubles.
However… for the last few days, I’ve been unable to edit the metadata for any of my movies. When I try, there’s a long delay before the message “There was an error editing this item” occurs.
Even worse, after adding some more movies, there’s no results at all when I try to update the library. All the movies are completely unmatched. I’ve tried to manually match them (oddly enough, the newer unmatched media allow the edit dialogue to open up, unlike the older matched movies which bring up the error message mentioned above.
Everything plays fine, both old and new, in the web app and player apps. I have plenty of space left on my movie server, and there are no obvious errors or problems that I can see with either the nas or drives.
Could this be a temporary problem on the Plex’s or the internet’s end? If not, does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.
