Editions not on details page

Server Version#: 1.28.1.6104
Player Version#: Plex web Version 4.84.1

I read about the Editions feature of PMS, and gave it a try. I have all the Blade Runner and Close Encounters editions so this seemed worth trying.

I’m experimenting with Blade Runner first because the examples at Multiple Editions | Plex Support use that. I’m now seeing 4 different Blade Runners in my library, all with the title ‘Blade Runner 1982’. When I go into each one, I see the edition name under the film title. What I’m not seeing is a single ‘Blade Runner 1982’ in the library, with the option to choose the edition I want to watch. Also, each edition is not displayed in the library with different artwork.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding how editions works or I’m doing something wrong?

From the Support Article you linked towards:

Currently, all editions of a movie you’ve added to your server will be displayed in the library grid when viewing the library.

Notice in above the word Currently, so in short we are not there yet

Make sure to use the hosted web app – to use/see editions in Plex Web, you need a version of Plex Web that’s newer than the one bundled with your version of PMS!

Thanks dane22. I guess this is evolving development of the feature. I will watch out for changes. I’m please it is being provided.

Thanks Tom. I’m hoping the QNAP version of PMS will pick up a new version of Plex Web soon! Presumably all the Plex clients on smart TV’s, iOS and Android based devices will see this soon too?
