Embedded OpenPHT

I’m new to the idea of running OpenPHT embedded as on my main computers I run it through windows and want to continue to do that. I do, however, have 2 old thin client computers that also have windows and can run Plex but they are annoying due to their slow processors so the “windows” part of using them is annoying. I was wondering if it is possible to run the embedded OpenPHT from a different partition on the same hard drive that contains the Windows installation, or if it has to be run from another physical drive. If this can be done, is there a reason not to do it this way?

Here’s my experience on Windows OpenPHT vs Embedded

If you don’t need Windows on the old systems just do the embedded Plex install and call it good. OpenPHT will fly on just about any hardware regardless of specs, and anything that can even passably run Windows will be more than enough.

Even if you do want to run it from a separate partition along side a Windows install, you’d still need to do some kind of dual-boot situation, and at that point you may as well just leave it installed as the Windows version.

I was able to get it running on a usb stick, though I don’t seem to be able to download new skins. Otherwise, nice to be able to avoid windows on a slow system.
