This function would be highly useful, and easy to implement. I used this capability all the time way back in the days of Windows Media Center! I frequently see ads for upcoming shows I would like to record (upcoming new seasons, for example). The airings are often more than two weeks in the future, so not yet in the guide. I’m currently stuck setting myself a reminder in my calendar to go into PLEX and set it once it is within the 2-week guide-window. The fuzzy-logic search is crucial to the ‘future recording’ function as well. During the holidays last year, a channel was hosting many hours of “Dean Martin’s Celebrity Roast -(Name of Guest)”. So it would be important to provide the ability to search for “Dean Martin’s Celebrity Roast*” to match all shows matching the prefix title.
