I just noticed something that turns out to be innocuous, but it’s pretty alarming at first.
While investigating someone else’s issue, I enabled ‘Group albums by type.’ I went to an Artist page that has several types of albums and refreshed metadata (I don’t remember having to do that in the past, but it’s been a while, and my memory… 
).
As I watched it process the artist’s albums, they started disappearing. When it finished, I was left with a list of albums, but all the singles and compilations were gone. Not moved into their appropriate sections – gone.
I used the browser refresh and the album type groups appeared and all is well, but that initial appearance of albums disappearing is pretty alarming. While I may simply have forgotten that I have to manually refresh metadata to trigger the regrouping, I’m pretty sure that the appearance of disappearing albums did not happen before.
I demonstrated this on three different browsers: Firefox and Vivaldi (a chromium-based browser) on Linux, and Edge on Windows 10.
