� Encoding character

Hello everyone,

When I transfer a video file that contains special characters (é, è, à, etc.) to my Plex server (running on a QNAP NAS) using WinSCP, the file system seems to accept the filename correctly — I don’t see any change in the name.

However, when I browse the file system using PuTTY, those special characters are replaced with “?” characters. As a result, Plex displays them as � characters.

I guess this is not a Plex issue itself, but maybe someone here can help me.
I’m aware this is probably a character encoding problem, but I don’t know how to fix it.

That’s a Putty issue and different character set “Code Page” between Windows and Linux.

QNAP can probably provide the best suggestions on how to resolve it.
