When I read the blog post earlier my initial reaction was, will intro and end credits be separate options in the server settings ? So an admin could choose to detect intro or end credits or both.

Based on the time left in your video, I assume it was a movie. And movies do not plan to have a credits skip, since there is no other movie file to compare to to detect end-credits.

Movies will have Credit Detection, it’s very handy for post-credit scenes, or just finishing up a movie and moving on to the next in the series
