Hey Plex Gurus!
I am revisiting this whole setup, I am really hoping I can get this working - as it means i can use my satellite dish rather than a internal aerial. So best start with what i have done so far…
- Setup Zgemma Box with Whooshbuild
- Exported the Bouquet of a selection of the channels I want in Plex (called favourites)
- Extracted the .tar file and zipped it up as a .zip (using 7Zip)
- Used the tool here to create my m3u file.
- Moved m3u file into a simple directory on the Plex Server (c:\m3u\favs)
- Setup XTeVe (PMS mode) and entered the local address of the file (above)
- Plex recognises the XTeVe when using the IP and port of the server and builds guide
So, onto the problem(s):
- After Plex builds the guide and configures, it then shows as “device not found” when I go back into the DVR setup screen
- When I try and watch the channel that the Zgemma box is currently on from Plex, it works (happy days)…but when i select any other channel, it fails to stream (“Failed to tune to channel”) - It seems not to be able to change the channel on the tuner box.
I am so close with this, really hoping someone can help with this…feels like a checkbox or an option I have/have not selected.
Has anyone ever come across this and can help me retain my sanity?
