I am considering upgrading my OLD DM800HD to something else. My signal is DVB-C and I would like it to an enigma2 box and work perfectly with Plex. Any suggestions?

Anyone else having an issue with the Plex playback when there is a freeze? It seems the transcoder has become much more āfragileā. Plex now shows an error dialog and stops when there is a freeze but previously it managed to recover the transcode ok.
yes, prob due to plex now not just save the raw stream but using the transcoder to remux everything.
Hi just after some advice as Iām looking at picking up a VU+ Uno or Solo 4k, any recommendations overall and also the best choice to use with this plugin?
I have currently a Sky Box and Subscription.
Also is it best to request OpenVIX or VTi to be installed?
Currently running a Synology server to hold media with a more powerful Linux box running the Plex software and a Nivida Shield to watch and view media, do I still us the Shield or would I be using the VU+ box to view my media or both?

Depends what you have in mind for the receiver? Just use the receiver as a tuner server for for your plex server or if you want to also use as a pvr receiver.
If youāre mainly thinking of using as a tuner server you might also want to consider the Formuler F1 with 3x satellite tuners: https://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/formuler_f1
Note you wont be able to use your Sky Subscription card in a 3rd party receiver (if you had that in mind).
You could use a Enigma 2 receiver to view your media using Dreamplex plugin and also use for live Tv. You could network mount your Synology NAS on the receiver and use your NAS for recordings.

Had this running for a week now and its superb, quality is spot and and it works so easily. My Vu Uno is an old box that is not very powerful however i donāt have any issues steaming the content. Fantastic effort guys, keep it up!

Just wondering if I can somehow use the 7 day guide off my dreambox because plex has no guide info for my channels. Dreambox guide format is epg.dat built from crossepg.xxxxx.db files I think.

First, thanks for your great work on this plugin which makes the PMS and our Enigma2 servers communicate well together. There is a big potential there.
A pain of the current DVR/LiveTV implementation of PMS is its need to choose a DVB provider in a predefined list maintained by Plex.
I am viewing channels from several providers on my enigma2 receiver (several satellites, Astra 19.2Ā°E, Hotbird 13.0Ā°E, Astra 28.2Ā°E for Spanish, German, French, Dutch and English channels) so my usage does not fit in any of these predefined providers when I set up LiveTV/DVR on my PMS. As a consequence, this way of operating prevents me of using Plex DVR/LiveTV with my satellite receiver, as Plex channels names do not match with real channel names and programmes on my receiver. I have a Vu+ Uno4K using latest OpenVIX image.
On DVR setup, I see there is a possibility to choose a XMLTV file in order to get a custom EPG and avoiding PMS to check constantly for EPG by itself for channels I do not necessarily get on my enigma2 receiver, and similarly I receive channels that do not appear in Plex EPG lists. This could be a solution for me.
Question : Would there be a way to copy/generate a XMLTV file from the enigma2 receiver and make PMS read it ? Or maybe make your plugin able to send this EPG info automatically to PMS ?
I use āEPG importā plugin on my Vu+ to get automatic EPG data daily for my channels.

regarding epg from E2, unfortunately this is not possible the guide data e2 stores has lots necessary data missing, like poster images, event type, wether new or repeat, HD or SD, season episode info, best thing to do is ask plex to ask grace note to supply data for your sat in the missing provider thread.

Sorry in advance if this is not related to the plugin! I have a problem where some channels will display a teletext overlay that seems to be searching for a nonexisting page. This covers 99% of the image, so you could say itās a tiny bit in the way. I made a gif showing what it looks like: http://gph.is/2zPdypK

Is it possible to grab EPG also from Enigma2? itās easiest way to do it, as EPG is on transporder.

Yeah Thanks @andyblac1974 great job. I have already submitted a request in missing provider forum. Whatās annoying is that the provider is in plex and the channels match but there is no airings found which means no go.
