Enigma2 support for Plex DVR/LiveTV!

Regarding the epg xml file, is it possible to link to a remote web address? I have an xml url but I cannot download it. It gives an error “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.”

the web server needs to mime format the filetype to text/xml

you need to update the latest version it support the option to choose which bouquet to use

Thanks andy, do you have a link to the latest version? It’s not available from the UI in the version I have so I need to install manually.

source files in my signature, if you want the iptv test change to that branch in GitHub.

Yeah thanks. Second time today I’ve asked a dumb question.

I was always told growing up, “no question is dumb, if you have one ask.”

i tried to run this on my vu duo2 with the latest vti image
latest version is running fine on the box and the plex server is finding the DVR but i get a “playback error (Unable to tune channel (Timed out))” or “An error occurred trying to play “Episode 30”.
shaka1001 (Network)” when i try to watch something.
Any ideas what i’m doing wrong?

livetv does not work on some HD channels, it is a known issue (plex server issue not plugin), plex are aware of the issues, sorry but no idea if/when they will fix it.

Any news on WiFi support?

ive tryed using this… ive installed the plugin on my zgemma. it gives me a ip address /6081. so when i goto plex then dvr . it doesnt find my device… do i need to open ports or something to pick it up

it should just auto detect the device in pms, what pms version are you running?

not sure if it will work with any stability, as streaming from your stb to pms would require as stable fast wifi link, I could give you a ‘test’ version to see what it is like, if you are will to test it?

here try this:

Hi Guys

Im having issues setting this up, each time i get an error regarding adding the channels (see attached)

Any ideas?

you should have already have your e2 setup first, and plugin configured with your chosen bouquets.

Thanks for coming back to me Andy, I tried again this morning and managed to get beyond that section, I have selected multi on the tuner type as I have both sat & cable. Issue I’m now facing is the section on plex that searches for the program guide does not complete however I think it may be my plex server. Will try a reboot tonight and come back to you, are there minimum requirements for the e2 box as I’m trying to run this via a Vu Uno.

sound like too many channels for plex to handle, try reducing the number by choosing a single bouquet. iirc plex has issue with once they get into the late hundreds / into the thousands.

would i configure that on my Vu as i don’t get an option to select bouquet in plex as it doesn’t get that far, always falls over on 95% when searching program guide.
