Entire Download Situation on Mobile

Can we please make some progress on the downloads on the mobile apps? First we get our downloads in a “list” instead of a proper media presentation/organization like we use to. Then we can no longer set a criteria to keep downloading unwatched episodes as they are added without telling it every time to re-download said items. It also doesn’t remove the watched items as it use to and 90% of the time it doesn’t tell the server the movie or episode was completed. Then the real nice part: the constant videos crashing with decoder errors, yet when you restart the video it plays right over the same spot without a hitch. Make downloads a priority for a bit and stop fixing crap no one is talking about. The whole download situation is abysmal and has had absolutely no progress. Oh, I forgot that nearly everytime you tell it to resume a video where you left off, it starts from the beginning.

Agreed here. I looked after the legacy app stopped working and Downloads for TV shows are just useless. I don’t want to have to tell it to download new episodes multiple times a week. I don’t want to have to remove watched content.

Took a four and a half hour plane retrun plane ride over the weekend. Synced Lusic Playlists, movies, and a season of a TV show. All worked great, watched statuses all updated back on my main Plex viewing platform, all remembered where I was everytime a stopped and started.

Didn’t see any problems

I always have suspicions when someone says ‘many’.

This isn’t the first thread to discuss the issues with downloads. It’s had issues since the new experience app was released. Has it improved since then? Yes it has. Does it still have issues? Also yes.

People really need to remember that not everyone experiencing issues will post here either because many users out there don’t even know these forums exist and just hope that one day it will be fixed.
