EPG fails to load with PMS v1.11.1.4760 (JSON parse error)

You will not see any log information, they simply do not show up in the EPG data, and therefore never show up on the recording schedule, and therefore do not actually record. However if I turn that channel on during that time, the show I wanted to record is indeed playing.

If you have it scheduled and the entries are coming from EPG data is coming from Gracenote you should see it show up in the logs. It may not show in the Recording Schedule or Recording Priority if there are settings specifying for specific quality, channel, or time perhaps. Have seen this same thing in other users logs and were able to determine what was happening. I also found the same thing in my logs that I posted in a different thread regarding entries disappearing. Found the recording scheduled all the way up until 17:09 one evening when the EPG was refreshed and then the recording disappeared. The logs should tell us something if the show is scheduled to record and EPG data is received. Can’t determine whether the EPG data is not showing up until logs are examined for the specific show and when it should record.

For that we will have to wait, as of right now, we have nothing that is supposed to be on the list that isn’t.

So I have noticed it seems that it is not upgrading my program guide at all automatically. If I run a manual run of the guide data it works most of the time, but overnight it does not seem to be updating at all, yesterday I had until next Sunday, and I ran a Guide refresh, and it failed, so I ran it again, it then showed through Wednesday. Looking at it today it has through Wednesday Still but has not picked up the next day. I have not refreshed today manually, but I would have thought it would have guide updated over night, maybe I am wrong, any suggestions?

NVM, typed something here, but not true info so it would be hard to ask for help…

So now I see that it has missed the last week both Rosanne and Empire, neither even shows on my recording schedule, both show for this week, and show like they are going to record. Such a headache…

As of last release, all seems well, all images in the program guide are working, all scheduled shows are again functional, I seem to have no issues any longer. Last week I lost some shows, but I was able to pick up replays, so I am okay, thank you all for your assistance.

I did not have verbose logging on I don’t think, and I managed to get it fixed by deleteing the Plug-ins directory, and do a few more updates, and finally it worked, but here are my logs for what it is worth.

Plex Media Server version 1.12.3.4947 has just been released as beta

It has a fix for caching bug where the cache was not correctly checked before making EPG requests to tmsapi.plex.tv. With this fix, the volume of requests should reduce significantly - 75% reduction has been observed. This should avoid getting Cloudflare rate limiting temporary IP Bans.
