EPG: rebroadcast of franchised shows are being scheduled as new recordings

And it’s happening again. This coming week, I see a couple of dozen NCIS episodes being scheduled for recording when they’re actually a rebroadcast (episodes are a decade old.) Yes, the series recording is configured for new recordings only.

Work around by setting the LIMIT TO CHANNEL on the advance record options to the CBS station for the scheduled recording.

The “New” to that channel logic needs more work like checking the original air date with Plex’s Meta DB.
