I have been trying to get plex connect to run for about a month. well more than that. When I double click the plexconnect.py file it would show up then just shut down. After installing/uninstalling/reinstalling/reboots/different links/different downloads I actually got one that would give me a log. Some info about my system:

Server 2012 (just cuz)

it is running DNS and DHCP but not IIS

 

I am going to school for computers and my knowledge is enough to break something. If someone could point me in the right direction in google or something so I can finally start enjoying my plex :)

 

Here is what the logs say

According to wiki DNS is supposed to use port 53. I googled port 53 just for fun and microsoft says xbox could use port 53 as well. (I do have an xbox)
 
Not sure if i gave too much or too little info but more the better I guess

53 is the std. DNS request port.

Shut down your "own" DNS. Or set it up to mimic PlexConnect's DNS and disable the later one.
