I am having the problem: Errno 10061 Connection refused by PMS.

Your ATV model (2 or 3) and firmware version (found under the ATV settings > general > about > Apple TV software): Apple TV3 5.2 (6010.96)

The DNS server set on the ATV (found under the ATV settings > general > network > DNS): 192.168.1.17

The local IP address of the device that PlexConnect is installed on: 192.168.1.17

The device and operating system (including version number) that PlexConnect is installed on: Win Home Server 2011

The device and operating system (including version number) that the Plex media server (PMS) is installed on: Same box as PlexConnect above, WHS 2011

The Plex media server (PMS) version number you are running (do not put 'latest'): 0.9.8.17

The local IP address of the device that the Plex media server (PMS) is installed on: 192.168.1.17

The PlexConnect version number. If using Github source then a time and date of download (look at the creation date of the folder) and if you are using any non-standard setup e.g. Plexify or a fork. GIT 1/11/14 3:53am

The contents of your 'Settings.cfg' file (this is created at first clean shutdown of PlexConnect, using CTR+c)

I have turned of IIS, created firewall rules, added local subnet mask to PMS authoriztion settings.

You can see from my log I am getting good dns and webserver activity. PMS works great on other devices using Plex App.

Please help!

One weird thing. When I try to login to MyPlex in ATV it never completes, it just spins. I can login fine from a browser so I know I am using the correct usr/psw

Do you have "require authentication" ticked in PMS?

Where would I find that? I figured it would be on the network page I uploaded but I didn’t see it there.

PMS->Settings->MyPlex (Show Advanced Settings)

Also check in your PMS settings what the port is set to, in case you have changed it from the default 32400.

Thank you tiny infant fleece wearing little baby Jesus, it's working finally!

Turns out it wasn't using the default port.  It had been assigned to 19147 for some reason.

Looks like Window Home Server 2011 may have been using 32400 for "storage" which is either back-up manager or disk management.
Either way, if you are using WHS this is probably going to bite you too.

The weird thing is NETSTAT shows 32400 assigned to Plex now but PMS Setting still shows 19147.
We'll see what happens when i restart.  People are already watching something now so I cant interrupt. ;)
Thanks!

Why does an assigned port break things with GDM enabled?
