Error code: s1001 (Network)

Hi
The other I added a couple of films to my library.
I tried to play them(with all of my plex clients; TV app, desktop app, web) and i constantly got this error -

I googled it for a couple of days and had plenty ideas about a possible fix, but none of which helped.
That includes settings changes, database rebuilding with plex sqlite and even deleting the database and creating a new one from scratch.
Not only that the problem persists, but after these changes, all of my old film that did play well before, are now having the same error message as the new films I added.

I even thought it might be a windows issue, so I updated my windows 10 to the latest updates and went on to upgrade to WINDOWS 11.
Now completely deleted Plex media server from my pc(documents, saved settings and registry keys), and installed an old version that I had on my pc from 2020(PlexMediaServer-1.20.2.3402-0fec14d92-x86).
I installed that version, created a new database i still get the same error when trying to play a film -
An error occurred trying to play “(Film/Show name)”.
Error code: s1001 (Network)

Any help???

I kind of got it fixed.
If you have a situation where only new films/show your uploading to the server aren’t playing, you need to un-match the specific titles that aren’t working, play them(just to know if they’re working with no match at all).
They will probably play well.
After that, re-match them again with their appropriate title and it should work.

Just ran into this issue today and these steps fixed it. Newly added titles would not play, but previously added titles worked fine. Unmatch, and match them again.

Problems started after a recent Windows 10 update, requiring me to reinstall plex.

how do you un-match?

I have a file that doesn’t have a match that is doing the same thing.
