When trying to watch a tv-show or movie in “Movies & Shows On Plex” I receive a play back error, Error code: s6001 (DRM). I have reinstalled Firefox. I have ensured that “Play DRM-controlled content” is checked in General Settings, toggling it off then on again. In about:config I have ensured " media.eme.enabled" is set to true, toggling it to false then true again.
Do you experience the same using the hosted web app and/or using a different browser or dedicated Plex client?

I know this is months late. But I just started having this problem with Plex. I don’t know what has changed since a few days ago. I have never downloaded a Plex app. I just watch ‘free, on demand’ movies on the Plex website. All of a sudden I’m getting the following error code:

My Firefox browser plays the same content easily on “Hoopla,” so I’m guessing this is a Plex problem. I have Firefox set to play drm content. But I’ve never heard of “media.eme.enabled.” Is that a setting I can try?
Try the hosted web app.
The one you are using might simply be too old to be trusted by the DRM.
