I can not open the dashboard. I get this message: There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard
It also says to contact the forum so here we go. I updated to the latest version and now can not load the dashboard. I checked cpu usage and the iMac is fine with that. rebooted and stopped/restarted the PMS several times but can’t seem to get it to work. Anyone with suggestions?
Just downloaded the latest software: Version 1.13.2.5154. Still no Dashboard can anyone from Plex help me with this?
Yup. I am having the same problem as of 2 days ago. Am on Version 1.13.3.5223. Did not do anything to my system or files at all. Just logged on 2 days ago and got the same error message as you “There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard. Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems”.
Not a very technical person. Reading thru the forums not helping at all.
Anyone out there with a fix for this?
There is an issue with you database. There is an article on how to rebuild the database but I restored a backup copy I had before the issue occurred and that fixed it.
TDD,
Thanks for the invitation but two things:
- Log files (manually created ZIP of the
Logs
directory will work in a pinch - I don’t know Macs. If it’s macOS unique, I’m useless. Fair enough?
HI ChuckPA - yes I’m on macOS. Is there anyone in PLEX who knows macOS that can help? I’ve downloaded the logs for your perusal. Plex Media Server Logs_2018-07-10_13-53-21.zip (2.7 MB)
This one doesn’t take a Mac team member.
Your database was corrupted somehow (abrupt power off?)

If you have your database backups enabled in Schedule Tasks, you can use a prior backup copy (scan files after copying in the backup).
Here’s the procedure.
hello i seem to be having the same issue, as i cannot find any of the plex files in the application support folder, i am also unable to delete the library files.
I m attaching my logs and database files if anyone can help

Plex Media Server Logs_2018-07-11_15-15-24.zip (1.4 MB)
There is no content to your logs. I believe you replied before upload completed.
If you see the same errors in your logs as shown above, follow the same link and perform the same procedure

Your database is indeed corrupt. Abrupt power off/power failure?

If you have the database backups under Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases
, you can restore to one of those using this procedure. https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/?_ga=2.207377110.47310637.1529628278-1771450803.1526193491
If you do not have any, you must unfortunately delete it all and begin again.
After your next installation, I advise you to make certain you enable database backups at a time when your PMS will be known to be running/not sleeping.
I have tried deleting but it keeps the corrupted server active
Make sure the server is not running by quitting it from the Menu item in top menu bar.
HI CheckPA - so I did not get to your reply until today but for whatever reason, my dashboard is back up. I did not do anything. Weird huh? Thanks for your prompt attention to this issue however. Cheers.
