Error parsing allowedNetworks '':?

Hi,
I keep getting the error message as per subject line of this post or see below.

I searched the forum but apparently what others experienced are on specific IP address, whereas in my case it shows question marks.

Any one know what is going on and how to fix it?
Thanks

Error message:
Error parsing allowed Networks ‘’: ???

Settings - Server - Network - ‘Show Advanced’ - “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth”
Make sure there are no space characters in this input field.

Hi,
thanks for your prompt reply. However i don’t have any IP address listed under “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth”.

I do however have few IP addresses listed in LAN networks, but there is no space characters between each set of ip address.

Any clue please?

Thanks

Please make a screenshot of this input field.

here you are.

This input field wants network adresses, not single IP addresses.

I meant the input field “LAN networks”

Ok, sure. hope you don’t mind i block the address.

Unfortunately I do mind. This is what I wanted to see.
These are private networks anyway. So there is no security issue showing them.
Please show the full content of this field, not just what is visible.

Hi
I just tried removing the addresses from LAN networks and the error message disappeared. So it does seem the issue is caused by the addresses entered.

The addresses I inserted under LAN networks are indeed IP addresses, not network addresses. Because the family members told me they are experiencing lag when watching the content. I searched the forum and someone said by entering the IP addresses of the viewers can make plex think the viewer is at the same network as the server, in order to achieve a better streaming speed and this method worked.

So I guess i can ignore the error message given i now know what causes it.

Thanks for your help!!!

No, if you see the merror message, it means that all the content of this field is being ignored.
So whatever helped your users, it was not you putting some IP’s in there.

ah i see. so what should i do? as mentioned those are ip addresses.

Please send me the list per PM. As I told you, these are ought to be private IP adresses, so they cannot be attacked.

Hi,
I just figured out what really caused the error message by thinking about what you said.

In the list of ip addresses, i have an extra comma at the end of the last ip address. By removing the comma, it works without having the error message.

Thanks a lot! Really appreciate with your help.

Separately, i have another post of another error message i am experiencing. Are you able to help on that too?
