So I recently wanted to try Archlinux and running Plex on it. Everythings seems fine until I actually try to stream something in the browser. Then I get the mentioned error. It is just the browser though. Connecting with the Android App does work and everything streams nicely.
I am aware, that Archlinux is probably not officially supported, but if someone could at least tell me what this error means it would really help.

Same issue here, ubuntu 16.04. Will try upgrading the server and report back.
Nah, found out the reason - it works in firefox but not in opera (on linux) - opera doesn’t have the h264 video decoder iirc and that is probably the reason.

This was my problem … sort of. Default Firefox was giving this error. I moved over to Chrome, and life is good. Thanks for getting me in the right direction!
