Error Sync: could not get sync list

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: 3.89.2

I’m seeing a lot of errors in my log that says “could not get sync list”. There is nothing set up to sync, and I’ve cancelled my Pass subscription (which might be what is causing this?).

Any idea how I can find out what is causing this/fix this?

EDIT: Solved the other issue, this is still present.

Bump.

I’m still seeing these errors in the logs, and even with debug logging I cant seem to pinpoint where they come from. I can find them in the database, but not much info on where they are “from” or what items are in the play lists. I’ve uninstalled Plex from my mobile devices that previously used sync, so there shouldn’t be any sync lists as far as I can tell.

Those items come from PMS thinking the media is actually still there when it’s been deleted.

I suspect you’re also seeing LPE (Local Path Evaluator) errors?

This is the source file vs sync output file now being mismatched. The DB expects both but one is gone.

When this happens, I find the easiest to do is two phase:

  1. Rescan all the files in all libraries.
  2. This failing, Delete the sync jobs (some types are recurring and cause problems)

Not seeing any signs of LPE in the logs (debug disabled).

What do you mean when you say rescan libraries? A simple “Scan library files”? “Refresh all metadata”?
