Last few day I've noticed when watching a TV Show that Plex will pause then jump 10-20 seconds forward for no reason, or worse the image freezes and the audio continues and the image jumps to it has caught up, has anyone else experienced this?
I too am experiencing this… It only seems to happen on transcoded files though
Yeah I get this too, the cpu is not able to transcode quickly enough. I’ve got the older qnap t469 or something.
I’m hoping Plex can convince Microsoft to increase the maximum bit rate, that would solve quite a few problems
But the server I'm running is a i7 16GB ram and a gigabit connection (and so does the Xbone) so can't see why this would happen.
There’s a bit rate limit of 20mbps on the Xbox one.
It struggles to play larger files
Same thing happening for me with 1080p files. Is there any way to tell the server/app to transcode larger files?
bump, same for me too. Annoying having to get 720p now to avoid the issue.
What video codec is the file? Is it VC-1?
The Plex transcoder is only capable of decoding VC-1 on a single core, so even if you have an 8 core processor if 1 core isn't up to snuff to transcode your are going to have these issues. Posting the xml details of the file you are playing and the pms log while playing it can help narrow down what is happing as well.
