Works for a few seconds, then reverts to the attached error message…any suggestions?

check for the Plex logs if the server event gets started in the first place
https://support.plex.tv/articles/201869908-log-files/ (not sure if you can access those files on your Nighthawk).

otherwise you should check if there’s any entry in a log of the Nighthawk indicating why it might be unable to start/activate/enable Plex.
