Errors when importing iTunes Smart Playlists

Hello,

I really appreciate that Plex can import my Library.xml from Apple Music. I have a large library and this gives me flexibility with PlexAmp.

My problem is that Smart Playlists are not imported, while regular ones are.

Below is the typical error provided by Plex. Any ideas?

Plex can only import smart playlists if the playlist can be recreated in Plex itself. Some playlists can’t be recreated in Plex. Can you provide the specific rule in iTunes for that?

Ok, interesting. Then I can understand many of my smart playlists will not translate. For example, this one is tracks added on 25 July 2016. Similarly, my playlist of Loved tracks will not work.

However, playlists based on an artists or albums should work.

For example, I have a smart playlist for artist contains cibo matto

In plex, I can see I have 8 albums under the artist Cibo Matto.

Can you post the exact rule from iTunes?

Do you know if iTunes treats “Artist” as “Album Artist”? Plex does not support filtering on the “Album Artist”.

I don’t think so… at least as far as I can tell.

Ok, thanks. Let me check around to see why Plex doesn’t like that rule.
