Ever since I updated the Plex server to the latest version, the LG TV app can’t detect my computer server at all. The name of the server is on the screen but it tells me “this server is offline or unreachable.” On the computer end, it has stopped detecting the TV. – it says “No players found” when I click that square in the upper right corner. What do I do?
What have you tried to resolve the issue? We need more details on your setup aswell. Player version, local/remote, etc.
The setup is local, the player version is 6.5.2 (if I read it correctly).
I didn’t initially respond because the problem seemed to go away on its own; however I got an Email today about an “unauthorized third party” hacking your servers and requiring me to follow a link to sign out of Plex. I followed the link, and now after signing out and back in, my server is unavailable again.
What did you try to troubleshoot the issue? “It doesn’t work” doesn’t help.
Does the problem only occur with the LG device or also other (TV) devices? Did you check for updates to the LG app? Did you troubleshoot the networking, that is, can the LG reach devices on the local network? Do you connect locally or via the plex.tv domain?
