EventSource: Retrying in 15 seconds

Server Version#: Version 1.15.3.876
Player Version#:

Whilst looking at a separate issue, I noticed that I was getting a lot of there:

|Apr 23, 2019 10:29:44.766|ERROR|EventSource: Retrying in 15 seconds.|
|Apr 23, 2019 10:28:24.185|ERROR|EventSource: Retrying in 15 seconds.|

I appear to have 100’s of them this morning alone interspersed with a few other warning messages. I switched on debit and got a bunch ion these (amongst other things):

Apr 23, 2019 11:13:33.089 [0x7f6a9e450700] DEBUG - EventSource: Failure in IdleTimeout (0 - Success).
Apr 23, 2019 11:13:33.090 [0x7f6a9e450700] ERROR - EventSource: Retrying in 15 seconds.

Is the list above (timeout) enough to explain the problem and what I can do about it? (I am trying not to dump masses of log entries if I can avoid it).

thanks,
James.

Without seeing the other log entries (DNS or adapter related), it’s impossible to know which is causing this.

Please restart PMS, wait for a few to show, gather the entire ZIP file set, attach that ZIP file here.

will do - thanks, ChuckPA.

done!

Got it. Thanks.

In your router/DNS resolver, you need to either:

  1. Make an exception to allow private domain 'plex.direct’
    -or-
  2. Disable DNS rebinding protection (not recommended)

Thanks.

sorry to be dumb, but allow it to do what? …I cannot see any option for private domains.

which router/modem do you have. I will look it up on google if possible.

that’s very kind of you!

I am in the UK and am using the “BT HomeHub 6” (BT is the provider) - the functionality you are referring to may be locked down. I have attached their guide

Best I can find is this:

You might wish to go searching in that forum. BT has a few oddities

will do. I appreciate the help.
