With resolutions being all over the board, either making columns expandable or having a mouseover bubble with the truncated contents would be helpful.
Case in point, my plex server (VM) has a resolution of 1024x768 and when I view the play history of a movie/tv show, the “played” column is truncated and unexpandable. it also doesn’t have a mouse-over bubble that has the full date played. This is in Chrome. On higher resolution displays, the column shows in its entirety.
Not that important but if its a simple code change for the bubble or a css tag to make it expandable, might be beneficial to some.
I wonder why you’re accessing your VM from within such a restricted VM?
What version of Plex Web are you using exactly? When I’m squeezing my browser to a 1024x768 window, and create an overflow of columns, Plex will simply add a scroll bar to the table view – all columns still show in their original width, no truncated dates etc.
The only overflow I see is e.g. with titles – and they show a “mouseover bubble” with the full text.
As for resizing columns… there’s already an existing suggestion to address that:
When im downloading content or messing with video conversions, i load up plex on the vm that does all this, including being the Plex Server (windows 10). I see no scroll bars when accessing last played that way. Im using Plex Web 4.57.4.
I was able to hit the hamburger icon to collapse the sidebar and the columns grew to where i can see the full date of last played. Once i expand, the date is truncated with no way to view the entire date.
Again, its no big deal as, on a bigger screen, its all good. Just a wonder.
I just noticed my disconnect – you’re referring to the Play History, not the library table view.
Have you considered simply using Plex Dash to keep track of the watch history?
