Hi,
All of a sudden my Sharp Roku TV is asking for Credentials to re-link. As soon as I enter them, I get the same message saying that my credentials have expired.
All my other Rokus work fine, it’s only the Roku TV that keeps asking for credentials.
I uninstalled and then reinstalled the channel, and it still behaves the same way.
I need some help as to where to look.
RESOLVED
So here’s how I resolved it.
It acted like my Server/ or my Router/NAT Table was caching some credentials. I use a VPN, so my ip address changes periodically. I also run a script to update the Plex.tv address to add it to my hosts file, to bypass the VPN.
Having said all that, I went old school, and rebooted everything. I did a cold boot of my Modem, Router, Media PC ( which runs the plex server). I was still having issues, so I went to my Roku, and reset all the network connections, then rebooted it.
I had my Roku re-detect my wireless, (I noticed it picked a different channel this time) and when it reconnected, The Plex app recognized my server and credentials.
For anyone who may be having this issue, i would try resetting the Roku network credentials first, see if that does it. Of course a good regular reboot of your system never hurts either.
