External srt files to be read automatically?

Hi,

I’m totally new to the DLNA/Plex thing and need some help. I installed Plex on my desktop PC to stream my movie folders to my LG Smart TV running WebOS 3.5. For some reason, the TV does not recognize the external srt files at all through DLNA so I decided to install Plex client on it. While it can read the srt files, it does not read them automatically. I have to enable the subtitle file for each movie on by one which is a tedious act if I watch multiple episodes of the same series after each other.

So is there a way to auto-enable srt files in Plex app?
Also, does anyone here use Plex with WebOS through DLNA with srt files?
And last but not least, why does the Plex app show only 6 folders/movies on the screen at once during browsing? Is there a way to shrink those icons to show at least 10-15 items at once?

I know I asked a lot but these are the 3 issues that bug me currently.

The enabling of subtitles is done on the server.
You need to tell the server your preferred audio and subtitle language.
Use the web app
click on your user avatar in the upper right corner
click on Account
Audio & Subtitle settings
fill the check box

If you use external subtitle files, make sure to include their actual language in their filename, as explained here: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200471133-Adding-Local-Subtitles-to-Your-Media

Thanks for the answer, I didn’t know about this option. It seems this fixed this issue in the Plex app itself. Although I did not set the language (and don’t want to since I always use the same filename as the movie itself) so I just set “Always Enable” under Auto-Select Subtitle Mode.
