SRT external not displaying on LG TV

Hi. This is my first post on forum, so sorry if there was similar topic before. I’m using PMS for a while now. I’m trying to get SRT external subtitles to work on my LG TV. The subtitle option is blank on my tv player, I can’t choose it. In Agent I have local media asset turn on and also opensubtitle.org is on with my account details. The subtitles works perfect on other devices with Plex installed on like Xbox or tablet. It’s look like they don’t work on DLNA enabled devices without possibility of installing PLEX on them. Any ideas please? Thanks

Hello, I am running a DLNA server to stream the content I have on my PC on a Media Center I have. Everything is working fine, except for the subtitles. These are external subtitles files under .srt format, they are detected in the PlexWebApp but it seems that they are not recognized by the DLNA Server. I have read quite a few threads around the same problem and if I understand correctly, DLNA servers can not support external subtitles, they instead transcode the subtitles into the video file…

Thanks for your reply. If I understand correctly DLNA enabled devices will not play subtitles. The only option is to have plex instaled on them.
