External subtitles files are not automatically scanned

Server Version#: 4.58.1

There is a problem where external subtitles files downloaded with Bazarr are not automatically scanned and added to the library by Plex. The movie metadata must be refreshed manually for the subtitles files to be scanned and selectable in the player.

Is this the intended behavior, or is there a setting that I have missed?

Settings > Library > Run a partial scan when changes are detected

Hi, thanks for your answer.
That setting is already enabled and is not the solution.

Then check these two:
Edit your library and enable use local assets in advanced tab.
Go to settings> agents find your agent there and enable local assets and move it to the top of the list

If that also doesn’t work make sure you’re using the new agent and not the legacy one

Moving the “Local Media Assets (Movies)” agent to the top solved my problem. Subtitles are now automatically scanned and added to the library.

Thank you!

You’re welcome!

And thanks for letting us know what the solution was.
