I copied the TV recording made using EyeTV from an old Mac (which I no longer have) to my NAS.
No problems viewing them but they just have random names. I know EyeTV kept the metadata in a separate place so is there anyway to rename the files automatically?
I did see some discussion a few years back but no clear on how things are now.

EyeTV saves as an archive folder containing the actual video, thumbnails and metadata.
EyeTV takes the name from video file rather that the folder and I thought someone had written a plug in to change this but I’m sure that is not supported anymore.
In the end I just opened the file info in Plex then cut and pasted the name into ‘edit’. There were over 100 file but this is just a one off job.
