"Failed to create home user"

Hello!

I have one managed (home) user, which is the admin account. When I attempt to create a second, regardless of name or attributes I select for the new account, I receive “Failed to create home user”.

When I tail the server logs, the only message that comes back associated with the attempt is this:

May 19, 2020 10:59:29.438 [10564] WARN - Sync: Couldn’t get sync lists without subscription.

I am on version 1.19.3.2764.

If anyone could assist in creating a managed user, that would be appreciated.

I also enabled debug and tailed the server log. Not sure much of this is helpful, but here it is.

Just updated to v1.19.3.2831. Issue persists.

I am having the same issue, can I get help as well please.

No, you have just maxed out the number of Home users you can create.

Only add users into your Plex Home, who are living with you in the same household.
All others, only add as Plex Friends: https://support.plex.tv/articles/201105738-creating-and-managing-server-shares/

I only have one home user account, which is mine and for as long I can remember I wanted to create an account for my kids and control their content access.

Thanks for the answer, that helped a lot but now I am having diferen issues as a result of that.
I send the invitation to my friends so they can create their own accounts but somo are getting error when trying to accept the invitation. Then the ones that could accept the invitation couldn’t log out from the device to log back with their own account, so I eliminated all the devices from the server so the credentials will expire and require them to log back in, but even though i eliminated the devices, they are still being able to used it like before and they don’t appear on my dashboard even though they are playing.

I am getting the same error and the error log says:

Message
Sync: Couldn’t get sync lists without subscription.

Can you resolve issue for my account as well?

Thank you so much! Yes, some accounts popped out of nowhere on my welcome screen, I’m guessing they were being created but stuck midway, anyhow it’s been fixed now, thanks to you and the devs at work!

No, you simply have already too many users in your Plex Home. The maximum are 15 users (including yourself).

There is a pending invitation in your account. Does anything change after you retract it?
