Failed to fetch error

Hi

Can anyone help with the failed to fetch error I’m getting? I followed this guide https://support.plex.tv/articles/235974187-enable-repository-updating-for-supported-linux-server-distributions/

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo apt-get update
Hit:1 Index of /repo/debian wheezy InRelease
Get:2 https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb public InRelease [3,408 B]
Hit:3 Index of /debian stretch InRelease
Hit:4 Index of /raspbian stretch InRelease
Hit:5 Index of /repo/debian stable-stretch InRelease
Fetched 3,408 B in 2s (1,378 B/s)
Reading package lists… Done
W: Conflicting distribution: https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb public InRelease (expected public but got )
E: Failed to fetch https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/dists/public/InRelease Unable to find expected entry ‘main/binary-armhf/Packages’ in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I have searched for an answer but couldn’t find it unfortunately.

Thanks

Hi,

I’m not a expert, but maybe I can help you …
You don’t need to follow the enable repository guide for Raspberry.
(Failed to fetch amd64/i386 packages and raspberry use ARM cpu)

Raspberry CPU could be ARMv6, ARMv7 or ARMv8 (depending of your hardware)
type this command :

cat /proc/cpuinfo

if you have ARMv6… plex server cannot works with your Raspberry hardware…
if you have ARMv7 or ARMv8, follow trumpy81’s procedure here :
