Hi All,
I’m experiencing an odd playback issue I haven’t been able to resolve yet. But when I watch certain TV Shows and movies I’m getting a message on the client that the network isn’t fast enough. This started about two weeks ago, prior to that I never had any issues streaming content locally. I’ve followed the Trash guides and almost all my media can be direct played. Most of the time my server is near idle when watching local media and the network speed on the server is usually below 30 Mpbs.
When this issue happens I’m able to see the network speed on the server jump to 150mbps or more. From the plex dashboard, I can see the video isn’t transcoding. For example, we were watching Sons of Anarchy S1E4; played fine. S1E5 starts “buffering” and I’d get the message that the network isn’t fast enough. All the episodes are 1080p AAC Stereo.
I experience this on two apple TV’s, both wired with GB ethernet. My iPhone also experiences the issue with connected to my 5GB network. When I do internal speed tests I don’t see any issues. I’ve tried uninstall/reinstalling the client on my iPhone, rebooting all my equipment and Plex. I’ve read through the documentation about LSO and disabled it as well as other suggestions I could find online.
I also run the ARR’s and Caddy Reverse proxy. I’ve tried disabling those services and it had no impact.
Thanks for any help!
