Fan Art

How do you add the fan art banners? ive installed Pillow and read around and now i dont have a clue

PlexConnect->Settings->Movie Options->Movie Fanart and change the option to "Show"

Same for TV Shows:-

PlexConnect->Settings->TV Show Options->TV Show Fanart and change the option to "Show"

If you don't have these settings then you haven't install Pillow correctly, you can check this by looking at the first few lines of PlexConnects log file and look for the line:-

17:13:42 PlexConnect: PILBackgrounds: Is PIL installed? True

If this line says "False" then either Pillow isn't installed or the wrong version is installed.

Lets start with which OS you're using?

Windows 7 64bit

Ok so then you need to go to this site:- https://pypi.python.org/pypi/Pillow/2.2.1#downloads

And grab the "MS Windows installer" that corresponds to the correct version of python you have installed, you need the correct version number, eg 2.6, 2.7 , etc and the correct bit version, 32 bit/64 bit. PLEASE NOTE the bit version corresponds to the version of python NOT your OS, so if you have a 64bit OS but have 32bit python installed then you need the 32bit pillow installer.

Once the have the installer, just run it and follow the on screen instructions. This should install everything you need into the Python directory.

Thanks got it installed says i can use it now how do i actually add banners?

Not sure what you mean by "add banners"?

The fanart is added when you add your media to PMS, in the web interface you can choose the fanart to use.

Which "scanner" did you use when adding you media to PMS?

Do you see fanart in the web interface for you movies/tv shows?

thanks you have been a great help!

No problem.... as a side note, you can also change the fanart directly from the aTV by holding down "Select" on a Movie/TV Show and selecting "Change Fanart"
