I would like to see some “Media Management Rules” in place in order to keep the media library in check, not to mention space. I think this belongs in Plex more than it would with something like Sonarr.
I especially on TV Shows where over the course of years/season, you can forget how much space is being used by nightly/weekly shows of the course of a season. Next thing you know your running low on space and have to go show by show as to what you want to delete to free up.
My thoughts would be that this would be a ruleset for cleanup which could be optional of course, but catered to users needs. Or maybe this is a reminder type activity, “You have ~100 shows that have been watched and older than 90 days, would you like to remove these from your library?”
Some examples, but could build out each a bit more:
- Delete episodes that have been watched and are older than X days
- Delete seasons that have been watched and a new season has started
- Delete shows which have no new episodes within the last year
