I personally would welcome having an option to specify the "Remote WiFi" streaming video quality. If you're in the same boat and also need it, please upvote (like) this post.
Brought to you by the committee to bring back old features to the new builds.
I don't understand why this was taken out. It makes perfect sense to me to separate out in-network streaming vs. out-of-network streaming. In my opinion, cell is pretty much the same as out-of-network.

It was mentioned the reason was because users thought this was confusing and not an option most users were using....
I don't understand why we should vote for it.
Even if nobody would want it, it should be there anyway...
I was really surprised to see this missing from the android client. IMHO this is a necessary setting. Without it a very popular use case is completely ignored.
Another vote to have this added back in. It makes perfect logical sense to have it included.
With the names given to the current two options for bitrate selection the lack of an option for "remote wifi" is conspicuous by its absence.
Its also not clear which setting determines the bitrate streamed to a chromcast when on a remote wifi. I assume the "quality over remote wifi setting"?? Which makes no logical sense at all!!!
Would like to see more people adding in their votes on this. There have to be more then 34 users on this forum that have ran across a need for this setting..
A long, long time ago I was having issues with my Android streams and I mentioned how I had to change remote to equal what I wanted from a local servers. A Dev at that time advised that the system wasn't very good at figuring out what was local and what was remote. So I imagine it was taken out because it was broken.
