As the title says it all, I think it will be great to add a feature where the managed users on a PMS are allowed “Camera Upload” from their own personal devices. The permission should extend so that they can mange their photos and possibly make it “private” so that other “manged” users can’t access and/or view them.

usefull feature, I'll love it too :)
Agreed. I would love for my Home users (wife & kids) to be able to upload their photos. As it is, I have to periodically login to their devices using my profile to backup their photos.
In other discussions on the topic some have voiced concerns about their server getting loaded up with unwanted photos. I think it would make the most sense for this to be implemented with a user-level setting for this like the current “Allow Sync” setting.
yup, really want this… So useful for the kids devices
I would also like this and not only for users on the local network Remote upload would be good. I guess this means that a remote user would be directed to a default sub directory in photo library. Also enabling some text in the photo library would be good (preferrably taken from the title in the photo source file).
This would be a very helpful feature. Not exactly looking for any complex implementation right now, just want my managed users to be able to upload their photos without me logging in to their plex apps.
This is available now. Not sure if it’s PlexPass only or not.
But the problem is when I am logged in as one of my managed users and try, say take a picture, the image won’t be uploaded to PMS unless I log in as my own user.

I am not sure if we are on the same page, but from what I understand this only applies to the server user, not the managed ones.
I also would like this feature. Great for Kids and Wife, thanks.
Plex have announced the “camera upload” feature will be discontinued.
In line with this announcement, we’re closing related feature suggestions.
