Would love it if there was an option for the original file to be deleted after Plex has optimised it and more optimisation options to help less advanced users who struggle using FFmpeg (like me!)
Is there any plans for this to be a thing? Some 4k content doesn’t play properly on my smart TV unless I optimise it using the original quality settings, but then it just means I have doubled the storage space needed for the 4k video! And 4k ain’t small!
Please add an option to remove original file and just keep the optimised file!
This probably will not happen. Plex has a policy to not touch your original files.
