I was trying to clean up my synced photos library today. Unfortunately there is no way of doing this in the web interface. All I can do is to go on my local server and find them there, and then delete them. But I would very much like to be able to select a couple of videos on my web interface, or app, and be able to delete these pictures for good.
I am surprised I haven’t seen more interest in this. I would love to replace my iCloud photo library (which is out of space, even after being upgraded) with plex camera upload. Automatically uploading and then deleting the photos would be great. Maybe allow a threshold so that photos over a certain age are deleted from the phone
I very much don’t want to be able to delete photos from my hard drive via any Plex interface. That just opens the door for accidental deletions. If this is implemented, I hope it can be disabled.

Do you mean delete the synced file from you client? Not actually deleting them from the server?
Deleting photos on a mobile device after the app has uploaded them to PMS, would be fantastic. Google Photos does this, and it helps manage mobile device storage, especially those who take a lot of (important) pictures via cell phone (wife).
Early 2021 clean-up: duplicate (deleting content from mobile apps)
also… Plex have announced the “camera upload” feature will be discontinued.
In line with this announcement, we’re closing related feature suggestions.
