Hello all, so I’ve been wondering this for a little bit now… Would anyone be interested in a “Featured Movies” section on the home page where the “On Deck”, “Continue Watching” sections are? The reason I ask and see its relevance is because I have multiple users streaming from my Server. Families, friends, etc. It would be nice (especially around Christmas coming up) if I could feature some nice Christmas movies right on the main page. This would be cool for all occasions too. Here is a quick “I did this in paint” mock up of what I think it would be like… I only put one movie in for an example but being able to add multiple to this would be awesome. Elf, The Santa Clause, Jingle All the Way, just some examples that I would be cool for Christmas time.
For me I do not really see any point in this but I could see it having some advantage for others. As with other functionality that has appeal for a subset of Plex users it should, if implemented, be able to be turned off or suppressed so that it is totally not visible to those of us that have no use for it.

I agree to this completely and 100%. I think if implemented it would be something that could be enabled and disabled at will. Not all year long would I want it on, but for up coming holidays and things like that it would make it easier to just have something right at the top.
I wish a Dev would simply respond to this. Even if the answer is “You’re idea is crap and we aren’t doing it” would be better than silence.
Look at that list. There are some features requested in 2012, having 1k+ “likes” still not implemented.
Two years ago we were promised some kind customization of home page. I also wish dev could respond to so many topic on forum. So good luck…

Too true. I bet everyone wishes their ideas could just happen. I’ll just leave it out here and see what happens. Appreciate the response.
Is this possible with an addon/extension like through WebTools or anything? I think the OPs idea is great and I really would like to put new/featured movies at the top of the list for people on my server,so I add some new movies that recently came out, but then I add a bunch of older movies, so they get pushed down the ‘newly added movies’ list, and nobody sees them.
Is this possible at all? I’d actually pay a bounty if someone could script or code this simple addon/plugin.
